Concept
The concept of the entrepreneur and HSG alumnus Henri B. Meier
«We are happy that we were able to involve Henri B. Meier, an HSG alumnus, a prominent founder and promoter in this project», said Prof. Ernst Mohr PhD, former President of the University of St.Gallen.
With his HBM Foundation for the Establishment and Promotion of an Entrepreneur School at the University of St.Gallen, Henri B. Meier made considerable financial resources available to this lighthouse project: a total of CHF 3m. For the Executive School of the University of St.Gallen (E-HSG), the Entrepreneur School is a cornerstone of its portfolio.
The Entrepreneur School is headed by Prof. Dr. Thomas A. Gutzwiller, the co-founder of the Information Management Group (IMG), of which he was CEO until 2006 and Chairman until 2007. In more than 18 years, he and Prof. Dr. Hubert Österle have promoted the organic and self-funded development of this HSG start-up into a globally operating process and IT consultancy with over 800 employees in Western, Central and Eastern Europe, the USA, Japan and China.
As early as mid-2007, a diploma programme for entrepreneurship and growth was launched at Henri B. Meier's suggestion. The programme concentrates on the management of growth initiatives in technology companies.
A further programme - a certificate course - is aimed at experienced executives from all industries and was successfully launched
in May 2011.
The AMP-HSG places its focus on the promotion of sustainable corporate-development, social and personality competence.
Every year, an Alumni Day of the Henri B. Meier Entrepreneur School takes place. Alumni describe the status quo of their own growth initiatives, gain new ideas from keynote speeches and cultivate contacts with former fellow students.
