Henri B. Meier founds an entrepreneur school at the University of St.Gallen
Irrespective of the current economic crisis Henri B. Meier, a former divisional head at the World Bank, for many years CFO and a director of Roche, and founder of venture-capital companies in the field of biotechnology, discerns two fundamental reasons for the stagnating economy of continental Europe in general and Switzerland in particular:
- a lack of training in management and inadequate promotion of technology companies, and
- a lack of venture capital for innovative companies in the field of cutting-edge technology.
Henri B. Meier has therefore championed an improvement of the financial situation of technology companies with product and process innovations for years. Now he would also like to focus on the training of entrepreneurially acting executives.
At Henri B. Meier's initiative, the University of St.Gallen set up an entrepreneur school of its own in mid-2006.
