1/2013 - 2/2014 - Chief Learning Officer, Zurich Insurance Group, Member of the Leadership Team; responsible for training and development of the 60'000 staff worldwide and a global team of 400 people. 2008 - 2012 Managing Director, Global Head Training and Communications, Deutsche Bank AG London, responsible for Compliance Training for the Bank, L&D and Communications for the Risk Division. 7/1985 - 2007 Professional Officer, Swiss Armed Forces: Commandant of the Swiss Armed Forces College (2004- 6/2008), Inspector General for Combat Troops (2001-2003), Commander of an Armoured Brigade (1999-2000), Co-founded the Swiss Armed Forces Reform Project from 1998-2000. Attended the U. S. Army General Staff College 1992/3 and received the "Eisenhower Award" as the best of over 100 international students. In 1999 promoted to Brigadier General and in 2001 to Major General. 1980 - 6/1985 Dr. Zwygart worked as a lawyer for almost three years for the Federal Government and two years in a law firm. 1973-1979 Studies at the University of Berne (faculty of law), bar exam, and doctorate degree.

Ulrich Zwygart wrote several articles and books on leadership and management and received the "Swiss Economics Books Award 2007" for his book on decision-making ("Wie entscheiden Sie?", Bern/Stuttgart/Wien 2007). His latest book "(Ir-)Rationale Topmanager" (NZZ und FAZ Verlag, Zurich and Frankfurt 2012) was published in October 2012. Prof. Zwygart is on the Board of the Business Law Institute, University of Lucerne, and on the Advisory Board of the Business School, University of Applied Science Nordwestschweiz.

Ulrich is married to the former Yang Yan-Yan since 1980. They have three children: Gregory, 28; daughters Kimberly, 23, and Jennifer, 22, who study at London Universities.
